Neil Labute BASH Two short dramatic plays Iphigenia in Orem Medea Redux Iphigenia in Orem: The eponymous Iphigenia of the play is a baby girl who is suffocated by her father. This is a monologue addressed to an unseen person some years after the baby's murder. It takes the form of a confession which is heavily interspersed with the murderer's rationalizations for his deed. Medea Redux is a tragic tale in which a woman recounts the complex relationship with her school teacher and describes how she murdered her son for revenge. Directed by David Chkhartishvili Translated by Nana Samchkuashvili Scenic and sound design by Levan Kvaratskhelia Produced by Tengiz Khukhia The roles are played by: Vakho Chachanidze (Iphigenia in Orem) Keti Luarsabishvili (Medea Redux) For the first time in Georgia. With full copyright protection. BASH is the third independent performance of the theater company Gyenos. The project was implemented with the support of Tbilisi City Hall and Kote Marjanishvili State Academic Drama Theatre.
