MANANA DOIJASHVILI XXVII International Festival “New Year Music Celebrations” ORGAN MUSIC EVENING Roman Krasnovsky Ukraine / Israel Roman Krasnovsky, the Ukrainian organist, immigrated to Israel in 1990. An assistant professor at the ,,Rubin Academy of Music and Dance” in Jerusalem in the past years, currently, he is a piano professor at the Conservatory of Carmiel. In different years extending up to the present time Roman Krasnovsky has performed in Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy and the United States; and has taught masterclasses in the frames of various organ courses. His repertoire encompasses a broad spectrum of music ranging from the Baroque to the Classical eras, and from Romanticism to music of the Twentieth Century. He just recently established the series of regular organ recitals. Mr. Krasnovsky will perform on the three manual and forty register “Alexander Schuke Potsdam” organ – the only concert organ in Georgia, installed in the Conservatoire Grand Hall in 1963. PROGRAMME includes works by: Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750) Felix Mendelssohn–Bartholdy (1809 – 1847), Cesar Franck (1822-1890), Johann Christian Heinrich Rinck (1770-1846) and Roman Krasnovsky (1955*).
